Cindy Dean
I come from a family of artists that consists of basket weavers to painting burning and jewelry the knowledge has been passed down from one generation to the next.
My inspiration for my art works comes from the sea and the bush of East Gippsland.
My artwork is of the mountains, sea, rivers and the bush, mostly of the water.
The rivers and lakes of East Gippsland have a lot of bird life and sea life which inspires me to produce a lot of images. I like to paint canvases, draw and craftwork eg. Emu Egg Carving and Jewelry making.
I love painting and burning with my children. I love the smell of the burning, the smell of the paint and the way the kids say 'Mum, do it this way or that way'.
