Aunty Eileen (Lana) Gordon

Aunty Lana was born in Orbost, now resides in Lakes Entrance having lived around the lakes all of her life. She was taught her culture from her parents – learning about bush foods and craft. Her artist brothers Billy and Mervin also inspired her. She began painting when her brother Billy (deceased) opened a shop at Lakes Entrance in the 1990s.

She is part of the Lakes Entrance art group which continue to work in Billy’s shop, resourced by EGAAC. A grandmother now, she enjoys teaching her grandchildren and working with other family members.
